Misery Point Radio
Misery Point Radio was born from the desire to share music, art and creative expression with the world. Initially intended as a vehicle to showcase local bands from the Seattle area, the show has grown to include interviews with bands and artists from all over the world. And while the focus is predominantly Heavy Metal and all of its myriad subgenres, there have also been a variety of guests from other genres such as rock, punk, Americana, and acoustic as well as a ton of non-musical artists including comic book creators, illustrators, authors, filmmakers, poets, producers, radio and podcast hosts, and more! MPR has been a Podbean Featured Podcast multiple times and the show is heard in over 150 countries! You can listen to the podcast and subscribe on all major streaming platforms including Podbean (App), Pandora, Amazon/Alexa, I Heart Radio, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, Spreaker, Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and More!
In other exciting news, MPR has grown from simply being a podcast to expanding into a full-scale internet radio station. We feature 24/7 rock and metal, with more genres coming soon as well as a number of hosted shows. Stay tuned for more details!

Michael Borders- Massacre
Friday Jun 14, 2019
Friday Jun 14, 2019
While in Orlando for the Massacre/False Prophet/Druid Lord show I got a chance to hang out with Michael Borders, the original (and often uncredited) original bassist for OG Death Metal band Massacre. What follows is a really informative and honest conversation about the early days of massacre, his exit from the band, his re-entry into the band, his thoughts on his role, and his opinions of the past and present of the industry. We also took a completely unrelated side-trip into his ties to the Pacific Northwest, his love of the outdoors, and other piles of randomness! This was a really fun conversation with someone who has not done a ton of interviews in the last several years, so take advantage of this rare opportunity to hear a perspective you don't often have access to!

Rick Rozz- Massacre
Tuesday Jun 04, 2019
Tuesday Jun 04, 2019
I took a trip to sunny Orlando, Florida to check out the historic relaunch of Death Metal legends Massacre, and witnessed an event over 30 years in the making as for the first time ever they played their debut album From Beyond in its entirety! And to make it even more epic, the band has reformed: But this time joining OG Riffmaster Rick Rozz and his longtime partner in metal Mike Mazzonetto are original vocalist Kam Lee and original bassist Mike Borders! This marks the first time that Lee Borders, and Rozz have shared a stage together since 1986.
I got a chance to talk to Rick before the show, and got the inside scoop on the band's reformation, the idea behind it, the upcoming shows, some insight into the early history of the band, and of course those sweet SP Custom Threshers! Rick is a super chill, laid back dude and this was a really fun conversation. Ignore the motorcycle in the background, the crazy loud Florida bugs, and me stumbling through my words for the first few minutes lol. All part of the experience!
Also worth Noting, though not part of the interview, False Prophet and Druid Lord were also on this killer bill. One of the most epic lineups I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing live!

Monday Apr 22, 2019
Today I am joined by George Anderson (and his alter-ego Aleister Sinn), creative genius behind Oakland horror metal band From Hell. We delve into the depths for an epic discussion on the origins of the band, the development of the concept and the songwriting process, his King Diamond influence, the impressive lineup of musicians that have been involved, the debut album Ascent From Hell, and the progress of the currently-in-production new album entitled Rats and Ravens. I also want to give a shout out to the official members of From Hell: Drummer Wes Anderson, Bassist Stephen Paul Goodwin, and guitarist Steve Smyth. This group of insanely talented musicians drives From Hell forward, contributing a musical diversity and intensity that results in truly original and innovative material. This was a really fun conversation, so check it out!

Ray J. Currie- Outliar
Sunday Apr 07, 2019
Sunday Apr 07, 2019
I'm joined via Skype by legendary guitarist Ray J. Currie, founding member of North Carolina thrash metal band Outliar. We had an absolutely epic discussion covering many topics, including the exploding N.C. Metal scene, the two vastly different Outliar albums, some of the legendary friends and musicians he's worked with, and the current All-Star lineup of Outliar that includes Vocalist Anthony Graham, Drummer Adam Hancock, Bassist Cisco Rivera, and guitarist Rick Ace. If that wasn't awesome enough, Ray dropped some first-to-hear news of some upcoming projects, exclusive to Misery Point Radio, so a huge bonus for all of you loyal listeners! Oh, yeah. and we find out what kind of BBQ he feels is the REAL N.C. bbq lol. Give yourself some extra time for this one, its a little longer than normal. It was such an awesome conversation that I really didn't want to cut it. Note: Skype audio can be a little wonky, but I promise you as soon as you hear the awesomeness flow, you'll be mesmerized! And enjoy the outro song "Blood Covered and Beaten off the album "Taste The Blood!"

Sunday Mar 03, 2019
A Long time in the making, today I am joined by Craig Gurney, known affectionately in these parts as "Craig The Motorcycle Poet." With a true voice for radio, Craig is an epic storyteller and poet. Sometimes humorous, often deeply personal and touching, Craigs stories and poems will have have you teetering on the edge of both laughter and tears. This episode ran quite long, but I really didn't want to cut out too much simply for the sake of time, so consider this a double episode! And towards the end, we are treated to a great story about his experience with Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) and a truly heartfelt poem to bring it all home. So grab your coffee, energy drink, or beverage of choice and kick back and enjoy the ride!

Mike Peacock- Host
Mike is a toxic by-product of the Pacific Northwest United States (Seattle Area). Having spent many years playing in bands, he now spends his time behind the scenes interviewing musicians and artists while working diligently towards the full-scale launch of the station-to-end-all-stations. While Mike's first musical love is Metal, he fully enjoys music from several genres, often leading to eclectic playlists and a wide variety of guests from varied backgrounds. His love of all things pop culture led him to join the Spoilerverse Network, which features other podcasts as well as blogs, articles, and art from many industry heavy-hitters. Someday, he will release the Death Metal album he recorded 30 years ago and change the world - Bill & Ted Style. Either that, or it will continue to be like Brian's novel from Family Guy...
