Misery Point Radio
Misery Point Radio was born from the desire to share music, art and creative expression with the world. Initially intended as a vehicle to showcase local bands from the Seattle area, the show has grown to include interviews with bands and artists from all over the world. And while the focus is predominantly Heavy Metal and all of its myriad subgenres, there have also been a variety of guests from other genres such as rock, punk, Americana, and acoustic as well as a ton of non-musical artists including comic book creators, illustrators, authors, filmmakers, poets, producers, radio and podcast hosts, and more! MPR has been a Podbean Featured Podcast multiple times and the show is heard in over 150 countries! You can listen to the podcast and subscribe on all major streaming platforms including Podbean (App), Pandora, Amazon/Alexa, I Heart Radio, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, Spreaker, Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and More!
In other exciting news, MPR has grown from simply being a podcast to expanding into a full-scale internet radio station. We feature 24/7 rock and metal, with more genres coming soon as well as a number of hosted shows. Stay tuned for more details!

Sunday Dec 02, 2018
Sunday Dec 02, 2018
Flashback: March 2018
I visited the super secret lair of Harder Than Contra, the legendary band known for their epic orchestral metal renditions of classic video game music and got the low-down on the inner workings of the machine. A truly awesome conversation and a really fun episode. So fun and awesome, in fact, that I had to steal it from myself and repost it on a different show! So if you didn't get the chance to check out the show from On The Edge, here's your chance to hear it in all its classic glory! And when they finally finish their long awaited (at least by me) album, We'll do another live session. But until then...

Thursday Nov 15, 2018
Thursday Nov 15, 2018
I was recently honored with an invitation to meet up with Scott Pivarnick on Suffocation's Death Chopping North America/Farewell Frank tour when they played Seattle. We discussed his company, SP Custom Guitars, and the increasing role he has been playing in building custom axes to several legendary metal guitarists and bassists. In addition to that, we chatted about his role as guitar tech for Suffocation and Possessed, and his gig as a guitarist for OG Metal Band False Prophet! Needless to say, Scott is a busy dude and his talents put him at the forefront of many projects! This episode was a blast to produce, Scott is super cool, and his guitars are absolutely amazing! Be sure to check them out on all his social media sites! Special thanks to Bradly Miranda for the assistance with the mix!

The Fibs- Live in Studio!
Sunday Nov 11, 2018
Sunday Nov 11, 2018
A long time ago, in a studio not far away, a legendary band took over the On The Edge Studios and delivered an absolutely epic interview and live performance session. Fast forward, a year and a half later. They return. Same host, same studio. Different show. This time, as guests on Misery Point Radio, we discuss the new album, their recent touring schedule, random awesomeness, and once again get treated to a live, in-studio acoustic performance. Worth noting that the last song in the set has never been recorded before this session.
And in a ghostly turn of events, there were some audio and equipment issues that resulted in some lost audio, but the Fibs, being the uncategorizeable Punk Rock/Rock n Rollers that they are, said "Put it out. Nobody cares."
Just one more reason to fucking love The Fibs. No excuses, no apologies, no conformity. No looking back.

Jeff Tassin- Songwriter's Showcase, Jeff Tassin Studios
Sunday Oct 28, 2018
Sunday Oct 28, 2018
Emmy-Winning performing and recording artist Jeff Tassin invited me to his lair, Jeff Tassin Studios, for an awesome conversation about his life in the music and television business. We discussed his start in the early days, his various recording and performing projects, his numerous awards, his studio, and his current role as producer and mentor to many talented musicians. His latest project, keeping up on its seventh year anniversary (Oct 30), is his Songwriter's showcase, a weekly gig that gives artists a forum to get their material to the world and play in front of people and work on their craft in real time. After the interview, I headed to the show and captured some great audio that will be featured in its own episode in a couple of weeks. So you'll have to stay tuned for that one!

Chris Adkins- MxPx, The Royal Pain, Phasers on Kill
Monday Oct 22, 2018
Monday Oct 22, 2018
I'm joined by Chris Adkins, who plays in the trifecta of awesomeness consisting of Acoustic project The Royal Pain, melodic punk outfit Phasers On Kill, and the legendary hometown and international heroes MxPx. Co-hosted by my studio wizard friend Bradly Miranda, we have an awesome hangout session and discuss how Chris manages to juggle all three acts and maintain his sanity. We also get an epic solo acoustic performance which features an amazing Descendants cover as well as two other killer cuts, one of which features Brad on the nut crusher (cajon) and Brad's brother Brian on bass. There is also video that will be coming real soon!
This episode also was originally aired for the On The Edge podcast, but was always intended to be a part of Misery Point. When it became apparent there woud be a delay in the Misery Point Launch, I chose to air the episode on On The Edge so that Chris could share with his peeps! So pulling double duty for two shows! If you didn't get a chance to check it out yet, here's your chance! Thanks again to Bradly Miranda for mixing the performance portion of the episode!

Whiskey River- The World's Most Epic Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band!
Sunday Oct 14, 2018
Sunday Oct 14, 2018
During a recent show at Club 7, I got to hang out backstage with Whiskey River, an absolutely epic Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. An awesome discussion about the band, what they're about, what sets them apart from other tribute bands, and what their ultimate goal is. I was able to capture some pretty good live audio, so be sure to check out the three songs at the end of the interview, including an absolutely jaw dropping rendition of the most famous of all Skynyrd songs. Due to the location of the interview, the background is a little noisy, but that just adds to the awesomeness! Be sure to check them out on all their social media pages! And if you get a chance to see them live, do it!!!
Be sure to check them ot with Randy Hansen On October 20 at Emerald Downs!!!

Mike Peacock- Host
Mike is a toxic by-product of the Pacific Northwest United States (Seattle Area). Having spent many years playing in bands, he now spends his time behind the scenes interviewing musicians and artists while working diligently towards the full-scale launch of the station-to-end-all-stations. While Mike's first musical love is Metal, he fully enjoys music from several genres, often leading to eclectic playlists and a wide variety of guests from varied backgrounds. His love of all things pop culture led him to join the Spoilerverse Network, which features other podcasts as well as blogs, articles, and art from many industry heavy-hitters. Someday, he will release the Death Metal album he recorded 30 years ago and change the world - Bill & Ted Style. Either that, or it will continue to be like Brian's novel from Family Guy...
