Misery Point Radio was born from the desire to share music, art and creative expression with the world. Initially intended as a vehicle to showcase local bands from the Seattle area, the show has grown to include interviews with bands and artists from all over the world. And while the focus is predominantly Heavy Metal and all of its myriad subgenres, there have also been a variety of guests from other genres such as rock, punk, Americana, and acoustic as well as a ton of non-musical artists including comic book creators, illustrators, authors, filmmakers, poets, producers, radio and podcast hosts, and more! I recently had the honor of an in-studio visit by iconic Pacific Northwest musician and producer Tony Reed, frontman for revered hard rock outfit Mos Generator and numerous other projects. We had an epic chat about all things Mos Generator, including the status of the upcoming new album and some currently underway re-issues of classic works. We also talked about a myriad of other topics including his other bands, his label Music Abuse, tons of history, and the impact of record stores. This was a badass conversation that covered a lot of ground and lent some insight into the mind of one of our area's premiere musicians.
